Aglae Forestier was the only child of Jean Baptiste Joseph Forestier and Euphrasie Hedurge Blasart. She married John Baptiste Becquet, son of Jean Baptiste Becquet and Julie Lefebre, 8 May 1886 in Givenchy En Gohella, France.
After John and Aglae were married, they worked in a "Millinery Shop" that belonged to Aglae's parents in France. After a fire destroyed the shop in 1889, they emigrated with her parents, to this country. They settled in Morris, Grundy County, Illinois. John received his naturalization on 29 October 1894 at Grundy County, Illinois. Because of John's failing health due to working in the coal mines there, they moved on to Colorado Springs, Colorado for a higher climate. While living there, a friend of the family who ran the ANTLERS HOTEL kitchen and dining room took Aglae under his wing, teaching her everything he knew about hotel dining room management and French culinary.
In 1906 John and Aglae moved to Garden City, Finney County, Kansas. During 1910 & 1911, Aglae managed the culinary department of Garden City's Hotel Stone. She had a smart business sense and was remembered as a very kind and loving woman.
Surviving was her husband, John and three sons, John Baptiste Becquet, Jr., Norbert Becquet, & Louis Becquet.
A funeral was held for Aglae on 15 Nov 1916 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas. Burial was on 16 Nov 1916 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
