Rueben Francis Coffee(y) was the son of James Edward Coffee(y) and Maud Alice Yates. He was born in Seymour, TX on July 28, 1896. He has one sibling Gladys Alice Coffee(y) Burton born in Magnum, OK in 1902. Rueben Francis Coffee(y) married Josephine Beatrice Merrell in Clovis, New Mexico in 1914. He fathered 4 girls Evelyn, Helen, Gladys, and Maudie. Rueben worked for the railroad as a watchman. He died in Portales, New Mexico in 1936. He died just before his 40th birthday. He was loved by his wife and girls. The youngest, Maudie, was only 11 years old when he died. He was my grandfather and I continue to search for his Father James Edward Coffee(y) thought to have been born in Illinois. Rueben Francis's Mother, Maud A. Yates was born in Texas.
