Together they opened their first business, "The Kandy Kitchen" in Bozeman, Montana. In 1912 they opened their first candy manufacturing business in Springfield, Oregon. It was then that "Eggimann's" was founded. Myrtle was active in, The Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic. She held many offices in the GAR. Her work was chronciled by the local newspapers reguarly. Myrtle and Charles never had children.

Hi Myrtle, Today at church Rita gave me a small dish you had given her back when she was in High School and would come into the candy shop. She said all the kids called you Eggie. I would have like to have known you.
