Ezekiel Bunker was born in New London, New Hampshire in 1803, the eighth of twelve children of Benjamin and Betsy (Daniels) Bunker. An interesting note is that his maternal grandfather, Nathaniel Daniel(s), died at Valley Forge in the American Revolution. The census indicates that both of Ezekiel's parents were also New Hampshire born. He was married in 1831 in Vermont to Eliza Ann Scribner, daughter of Ebenezer and Olive (Livingston) Scribner. He was in Montpelier in late 1836. By 1841 they lived in New York. In 1850 they were living in Warrensburg in Warren County. Ezekiel was a Carpenter. Three more children had been born in New York. In 1960, he and Eliza Ann lived next door to his daughter Fanny and her family in Horicon in New York. By 1870 the family had moved to Prairiesburg, Linn Co., Iowa. Ezekiel, now 67 years old, and his wife, Eliza Ann (59) were living with their son Cort, daughter Olive and her husband, and Fanny's family. By 1880, Ezekiel and Eliza Ann were living with Cort and his family. They were in Dunn Co., Menomonie Township, Wisconsin, at that time. The Bunker Genealogy shows that he died at age 85 in 1882 in Wisconsin; however, he was actually 79 years old when he passed away in Menonomie. Ezekiel outlived five of his seven children: Oscar, Olive, Charlotte, Lemira and Eliza Ann. Son Cort remained in Wisconsin and daughter Fanny Stickney moved to Washington after his death.
