JULE O'CONNOR Mary "Jule" O'Connor, age 70, a Las Vegas resident since 1979. passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010. Born and raised in New York, she married, then raised her family in New Jersey, where she volunteered for the local ambulance service in Lake Hopatcong. In 1979, she moved her family to Las Vegas, where she later opened her floral shop, Jule's Garden, which she owned and operated until 1992. Jule continued pursuing her passion of designing floral arrangements until her passing. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Community for over 30 years, where she sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic minister and very involved in numerous church activities. Jule was preceded in death by her son, John G. O'Connor in 1981. She is survived by her children, Keli, Richard, William, Heather and Allison; 19 grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Raymond; and many dear friends. A visitation and vigil will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Christ the King Catholic Community, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at the church Saturday, Oct. 2, followed by interment at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ the King Catholic Community Liturgical Ministries.
