Elmotie Scroggins, Jr. was the son of Elmotie Scroggins, Sr. and Audrey Scroggins. His father passed away when he was just 12 years old and he took on the role as man of the house helping his mother raise his little sisters. He was a Vietnam War Veteran. Elmotie was killed one night on a dark road outside Pittsburg, Kansas by a drunk driver. He was deeply loved by his family. He was my friend and I will miss him always.
We marched together, side by side, in the Roosevelt Jr. High and Pittsburg, Ks. High School drum line for 6 years.
Dear one, I'm still saving the last dance for you...
