Dawnita was brutally murdered from stab wounds inflicted on her by her husband, she was 32.
Dawnita was born November 30, 1974, in Lawrence Kansas. She moved to Rock Springs in 2005 where she met her husband Timothy Brandon. Dawnita was a very vibrant, beautiful woman, she loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. Her goal in life was to be someone everyone could be proud of, and we were, she never had a chance when she walked through her front door that fateful evening. Dawn is missed every day, “Never Forgotten” she is “Our Special Angel,” we miss her.

Timothy Brandon pled guilty to second-degree murder under a plea agreement and was sentenced to 55 years to life in prison. He is not eligible for parole until July 2045. He resides at the Wyoming State Penitentiary.
We will fight to never have him released!

Mrs. Brandon died Monday, July 30, 2007 in her home. She was cremated.
She had been a resident of Rock Springs for the past two years and a former resident of Springfield, Mo.
She was born Nov. 30, 1974, in Lawrence, Ks., the daughter of Charles Curtis and Cheryl Evans.
She attended Lawrence public schools and received her GED.
She married Paul Edward Nystrom on May 16, 1992 in Lawrence, Ks. They divorced in 1998.
She married Timothy Paul Brandon on May 21, 2005 in Eden, Wy.
Mrs. Brandon worked as a driver for Terry Garvin Trucking, previously as a secretary for Tesco Oil Casing Services.
Survivors include son, Dakota R. Nowak, daughter, Faith E. Evans, mother, Cheryl Evans all of Clifton, Co.; three brothers, Benjamin, Richard and Matthew Johnson all of Grand Junction, Co., maternal grandparents, Clifford L. Evans Sr. of Overbrook, Ks., and Barbara J. Evans of Lawrence; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
