Garrick A. Darst of Palmetto, passed into the presence of his Lord Oct. 2, 2008. Visitation will be Tues. Oct. 7th from 5-7p.m. with the funeral service following at Community Baptist Church, 5500 18 St. E., Bradenton.
Survivors include his parents, Gregory and Barbara Darst of Palmetto, a brother, Geoffrey and wife Karen Darst of S.C., nine aunts and uncles, five nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Garrick was well known in Sarasota and Manatee counties for his work at Goodwill Industries where he was employed for 22 years, retiring in July, 2008. Garrick was also a faithful member of Community Baptist Church where he served as an usher.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Community Baptist Church's Teen Mission's Trip fund c/o 5500 18th St. E., Bradenton, Florida 34203, For information or directions call (941) 756-8748.
