Thelma had 3 brothers, Eural, Kerry, & Buck Clippard and three sisters, Anne Spargo, Barbara Clippard and Clara Keener and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Thelma married Richard Cannie Bradshaw, son of Charlie Robert Bradshaw and Minnie Serena Wentz Bradshaw on March 2, 1948. Richard and Thelma had 2 daughters, Rebecca Ann and Penny Serena, and one Grandson, Braxton Cane Homesley.
Thelma worked at JP Stevens in Stanley, NC to help put her husband through college. She later was a stay at home mom and worked as a seamstress. She owned and operated a cloth store in Alexis for several years.
When her children were in high school she went to college and became a LPN. At the age of 55, Thelma finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse.
Thelma volunteered with the Red Cross, was active in politics, served as Chief Judge for Alexis for over 20 years and was active in her church. She enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to have the opportunity of seeing much of Europe, Canada and most all 50 states. She loved to garden, read, knit and sew.
Being a loving wife, mother and grandmother were the roles Thelma treasured most. She devoted her time and energy toward helping others, especially her family and friends.
Thelma passed away 7 months after being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
