Michael Kemper
MINSTER - Eight Minster High School student, on their way to dance at the Carousel Ballroom near Celina, were killed and three others injuried after being struck by a car last night at 8:10 as they stood on the Minster-Fort Recovery Road, about four miles west of here.
The youths, on their way to a Catholic Youth Organization dance, had decided to change their route in order to stop by the home of a Maria Stein basketball player, Howie Overman, to tout Minster's Saturday night victory at a sectional finals game.
Also visibly injured was the driver of the car which hit the youths, John Kremer, 21, R.R. 2, Maria Stein, who was reportedly not treated.
Dead at the scene were:
