JOSEPHINE BONHAM, age 89, died Monday, September 30, 2002. She was born 21 February 1913 in Burleson County, Texas, and was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic faith; she had been a member of St. Peter parish and Catherine of Siena parish for many years. Jo has worked for J.C. Penney Company in Palm Center in the ladies' wear department and retired after many years' service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Claude R. Bonham of Paris, Texas; parents Mary (nee Kucera) and August Skopek; brothers: Fred Skopek, August (Sonny) Skopek, sisters: Juliette "Judy" Hanson, Millie Kovar, Rose Lyons, Miladie Skopek, Leona Williams and Mary Zatopek.

Her survivors include sisters: Hattie Connally of Columbus, Texas, and Gardena Jaster of Bastrop, Texas; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Bonham Winn and Ida Mae Bonham; numerous nieces and nephews. Jo was a beautiful and kind person, and will always remain in our memories. Visitation: Wednesday, October 2, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services:Thursday, October 3 at 3:00 pm, with Deacon Don Bradley of St. Cecilia Church officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
