Pearl Mae Bell was my grandmother whom I loved dearly. She had one child. My father, James Howard Knight. My father had 9 children. Four by his first wife, Bobby and 5 by my mother Jeanette. My grandmother was a warmed, charming person. We moved from California back to Detroit in 1979 and I wouldn't see her again until 1993. She came to Detroit for a visit and decided not to go back to California. The last 2 years of her life was amazing. We discovered two days before Thanksgiving 1995 that she had terminal cancer. She died the following month on December 22, 1995. My grandmother will always hold a special place in my heart.
