Ellen departed this life at the age of 56, in the Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father Francis Marion "Shag" East and mother, Lola Montine Boatner East. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Bennett; and a brother, Robert Marion East.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jerry Bennett; daughters and son-in-law, Laura Fauscette and Scott Beavers, Kris and Troy Ball, Angela Bennett and Eric Dunn, all of Dalton.
She is also survived by sisters, Faye Kirby of Oneonta, Ala., and Linda Hayes of Cedartown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Doney East, John and Charlotte East, all of Dalton.
Grandchildren: Tyler Fauscette, Alex Ball, Megan Dunn, Sydney Bennett and Star Beavers.
