Birth: Oct. 24, 1886
Reggio Calabria
Cittą Metropolitana di Reggio Calabria
Calabria, Italy
Death: Feb. 26, 1977
Hillsborough County

Joe Allio came to the USA through Ellis Island in 1905. His name at the time was Giuseppe Aiello. He met and married Maude Branham while she was working in a boarding home in 1913. They had 12 children together.
Jim,Rose,Mary,Aileen,Frank,Ayers,Esther,Eula,Joe Jr,George, twins Martin and Ethel. They lived in Pound,Va. Joe walked to work in the Coal mines of Kentucky. He would often carry bushels of fruit home for his 12 children. He owned a truck even when he had to hire someone to drive it, but one bad winter and it froze over. He had to give it away. He put coffee in his cereal for breakfast. He loved to smoke good cigars. He would often be seen when not working in the coal mines wearing a suit, it was rare to see him out of it. He worked 40 years in the coal mines and won awards for being fast at his job. He could not read nor write in English nor Italian so he lost all contact with his relatives who remained in the US and in Serrata,Italy. He was a good man and was loved by all who knew him. All of us loved him very much. He loved his family and traveled often to see everyone.

Married to Maude on Nov. 11, 1913
