|Birth: ||Apr. 12, 1894|
|Death: ||Jan. 1, 1924|
American prizefighter. He fought in three weight classes (middleweight, light-heavyweight and heavyweight). His record was 72 wins, 15 losses and 14 draws. He was known as "The St. Paul Thunderbolt". He fought champion Jack Dempsey on September 6, 1920 and was knocked out in the third round. This was the first boxing match broadcast on radio. Miske was tough for his courage and toughness in the ring. Amazingly, he fought most of his career while suffering from a serious kidney ailment that ultimately killed him at only 29. I am proud to open this site in his honor.
