This is my Grandma. She married my grandpa David Charles Joseph Fleury in Belle River ,Ford ,Ontario Canada November 20th 1917.

She was born to Jean Baptiste Nantais and Annie (Hebert) Nantais born in Canada.
Irene and David Fleury had 5 children , my dad,Leonard Joseph Fleury, Bernice,Russel,Bertha, and Donald. Of the 5 children only one sybling is still with us here, and he is Donald.

Every time Grandma would have a baby her and Grandpa would cross over into Detroit so their children would be born U.S.A. citizens. And eventually they moved to Detroit to live and became citizens themselves.

Grandma always loved to play Bingo, cook dinners for family, and garden, and go to yardsales, and visit her syblings that were still living in Canada.

I remember her and Grandpa whenever there was a barbecue over at our Aunt Bernice's or our house or their house , everyone would play Euchre , a card game I assumed was played alot in Canada, anyway the older family would talk alot of French Canadian during those card games and all of us cousins, and there were alot , wouldnt be able to understand what they were talking about . I always like to hear them talking that way tho.

I miss you and love Grandma, Rest in peace .
