Marie Cuson, whose name is also on Ada's grave stone, is the mother of Ada (Savanac) Nevin Hammond of this Memorial page. When Ada married Frederick Hammond on 29 January 1879 in Detroit, Wayne Co. Michigan, she was a widow with two small sons. Frank Nevin and Charles Nevin. David Nevin Her first husband died at the young age of twenty-eight. She is listed as Ada Savanac in Roland Hammond's book on the Hammond Family. This is one of the various spellings of her maiden surname. Her mother was married first to a Mr. Savanac Ada's father) and second to Richard Cuson.

Ada and Frederick Hammond, her husband of many long years, had three children that have been documented.

The 1900 U.S. Census Lists Ada and "Fred" Hammond (head of the family) as the parents. They have been married twenty-two years. Marie Louise Cuson as Frederick's mother-in-law, and their two living children Merrill Mills Hammond and Marie Louise Hammond. Frank Nevin is listed as a step-son to Frederick. It is reported that Ada has had five children with four children living. Esther Osbonond is a servant living with the family. They are now living in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
