Brent was a wonderful teenager who loved helping people. He will be remembered and missed forever. Brent bought so much joy into this world just like his cousins Scott Hillard, and Chris Perkins who passed away in 1993. Brent excellent at football, wrestling, and track. His dark red hair was like a trademark for Brent. Brent had two brothers and sister, David, Chad, and Ashley. We love you Irish Boy and will miss you until we meet again. Brent was famous for bringing people together. We will also miss your best friend Roger Engel who was with you. Brent spent 19 days in coma and never woke up.

Brent and his best friend since pre-school were in the same accident together sadley Roger Engel passed away that day, Brent passed on father's day 2004. It just didn't seem like there could have been a Brent without Roger, or a Roger without his bud Brent. These two were closer than most brother's. The road where Brent's accident happened has since been repaired; Brent died from delayed complications from near drowning.

Brent loved people so much and was always trying to help them he recruited kids for football, wrestling, and track even if they weren't the best he always said but your part of a team. I remember one kid who wasn't very good and Brent turned around and told him to keep trying for if you do your best and are part of the team it's ok. Brent helped his friend lose 20 lbs, she went to the doctor and he told her to lose weight and Brent would go to pratice come home and go jogging with her she would have never done that without him she lost the 20 lbs. He would help other kids figure out thier problems putting thiers before his own. The coach had a plaque made for Brent that said he always had a great big smile on his face and cared more about helping other's than helping himself. The one coach keeps a picture of Brent in his classroom as a inspration to others. The wrestling team started a scholarship for Brent. There was so much done for Brent I couldn't begin to put them all online. I don't know how I will ever thank all of the people who were there that love Brent so much. Brent had well over 600 people at his funeral I felt bad because everyone didn't get to sign the book, we had the funeral at the church and people were lined up down the street for him. We had special made quilts with his sports, one from his friend for wrestling, and a book made just for him that was given to us as a keepsake. I am proud to have had him loaned to me even if it was a short while; I couldn't not imagine never knowing my son at all and a short time is better than none. I've been told over and over what an angel he was makes me feel good to know how much he was loved. Brent did his sports so he could get scholarships for college, he would have gotten them! Brent also overcame a speech problem from ear surgeries he had as a child! Brent just loved people and life so much, he believed if you looked hard enough you could find good in anyone! Sometimes, I get mad at myself because I miss him so much, and I know he is in a much better place!
