The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Columbia, with the Rev. Leigh Lehocky officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Laurelwood Cemetery.
A native of Orangeburg, Mrs. Bennett was a daughter of the late Luther Berry and Idell Berry. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Joe L. Bennett; two sons, Joe "Lee" Bennett III of Pelion and Jerry L. Bennett of Harrisburg, N.C.; her daughter, Elaine "Laney" B. Rhodes of Columbus, Ohio; her sister, Louise Williams of Orangeburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 today at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
