Granted to James Couve (Covey) of Mt. Walleystone for four heads and 16 acres, 3 shelling an acre, Hingham, Mass, part of Walleystone (now Braintree) Captain Wallaston went to Virginia..
Four heads==James and Mary, Daughter was the first registered child born in the community.
They had three children.. Hope, John and Mary. Hope married a Mary unknown about 1681 in RI.
The death record listed..but no mention of the cemetery, but since he attended the Westerly RI church, later called First Hopkinton Church..it is possible he is buried there.

In 1708, a second congregation was formed in Westerly, Rhode Island. The Westerly Church (later called the First Hopkinton Church) became the leading Seventh Day Baptist congregation in the United States, with 764 members by 1800 [5]. These congregations maintained a good relationship with the Rhode Island Baptists who met on Sunday.
James Covey and Mary are both listed as members of this church. Most of the members were also his neighbors, as land deals were made between them.
