This is my grandma. She was a wonderful woman. She was married to Georg Otto Thiele, who was reported missing in the 2nd World War. In her younger years she lived in Gubin. Prior to 1945, Gubin was part of Guben in Germany. In 1945 the Oder-Neisse line was chosen as the new German-Polish border. So she had to leave all her things there and had to move to Guben. She was a hard-working woman, living alone with her 2 children Inge and Wolfgang. After her death we found out what happened to her husband. He fell into Russian captivity and died there because of starving.
