Mark was born the son of Linda Rappsis Clayton of Glen Carbon and the late Jackie Bone. He is survived by his step-father: Carl Clayton of Glen Carbon; brother: Jesse Bone of Grand Forks, N.D.; a niece: Molly Finely of Kentucky; and a sister: Star Breihan and husband, Thomas of Edwardsville, and her children: Devin and Meghan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Willard H. Bone, Sr & Georgia M. Bone.
Mark was a 1975 graduate of Edwardsville High School. He served six years in the Air Force and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant, specializing in aircraft avionics and flight simulator maintenance. At the time of his death, he was maintenance supervisor for Flight Safety Services at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Mark was interred with full military rites being presented by the Edwardsville V.F.W.
