Willie G. Flores Jr is a second generation Kineno. (Kineno means (King's men) employees that lived and worked on the King Ranch Property). He was born on the Norias Ranch in 1929 and attended the one room school house at the King Ranch headquarters. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He Spent his lifetime as a Cow Camp Cook on the King Ranch.
Willie's father had been the Norias Cow Camp Cook before him and had taught him the skills of keeping a Cow Outfit running.
Willie retired in 1987 after 36 Years of Service, cooking meals for several Kinenos.
Willie was a Member of the Raymondville Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post.
