FLETCHER - Graveside service for Velma Smith, 81, Fletcher, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fletcher Cemetery with Jim Hall officiating.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, April 27, 2009, in Lawton.

Burial will be at Fletcher Cemetery under direction of Fletcher Funeral Home.

She was born March 11, 1928, in Dibble, to Harry and Stella Gandy Horn. She married William A. "Bill" Smith on April 30, 1946, in San Diego, at First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Kenneth Allen "Ken" Smith and Mary, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Christopher Bentley "Chris" Smith, Medicine Park; six grandchildren: Dawn Nash and her husband Donovan, Buckeye, Ariz.; Kevin Christopher Smith and his wife Nicole, Glendale, Ariz.; Katelynn Smith, London; Christopher Bentley Smith II, Medicine Park; Meghan Hammond, Singapore; and Robert Lee "Trey" Hammond III, Lawton; and three great-grandchildren: Lyndsay and Andrew D'Ettorre, and Alycyn Nash, all of Buckeye.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wilma Horn Bingham; and two brothers: Charlie and Lee Horn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fletcher Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 310, Fletcher 73541.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
