Benjamin was born December 3-1916 in McCurtain,Ok. to Silas Green Armstrong and Mary Arizona Oliver Armstrong. He passed away at his home March 20-2010 in Bakersfield,California.He was 93 years old.He was married to Jeanetta Francis Wilcox on September 22-1934 in Eufaula,Ok.After many trips to and from Oklahoma and 5 children later they finally settled in Kern County in 1955.
Faris as he was known to most people was an ordained minister with Assemblies of God.He pastored churches in Warren,Ok., Meredian,Calif.,Fairfax Assemblies of God and Full Gospel Lighthouse in Bakersfield,Calif.He loved teaching and preaching the word of God.He has known the joy of leading many people to Jesus.
After his death of his first wife Feances, he married Fauntreba on August 10-1966.Faris loved his family,which are many,very much.He loved his babies and loved to hold them on his lap and sing goofy songs to make them laugh.He also loved his many friend with the church and hid fishing buddies.He could talk about the bible or about fishing for hours.
