Services Set Friday For James Kennedy
LINDALE - Services for James Clyde Kennedy, 59, Route 2, Lindale, are set for 2 p.m. Friday in Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. H. H. Frost officiating.
Burial will be in Sabine Cemetery near Lindale under direction of Cain Funeral Home, Quitman.
Mr. Kennedy died Wednesday in a Tyler hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Lindale. He was a bulldozer operator for Smith County road and bridge department. He was a Baptist and a WW II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lenora Kennedy, Lindale; two sons, James Kennedy, Springdale, Ark., and James Clyde Kennedy Jr., Walker, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Fleming, Lindale, Mrs. Reba Spivey and Mrs. Enis McKay, both of Tyler; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lydia Kennedy, Tyler; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Cline, Kenneth Little, Vernon Lott, Preston Aron, Walter Taylor and Charles Williams.

RK Note: James' first wife was Twilight Goolsby. There were married 20 Sept 1940 in Smith Co. Their son James Gary Kennedy was born 12 Dec 1941. Twilight died the next day at 17 years of age. James then married Lenora Marie Whisenhunt 30 Jun 1943 in Smith Co. Their son James Clyde, Jr was born 04 Aug 1947.
