Services for Henry Backer, 63, of Kirkville, formerly of Waterloo, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont with burial at Westview Cemetery in Kirkville.
Mr. Backer died at 7 a.m. Friday at his home
He was born April 16, 1913, in Allison, son of Jip Albert and Annie Frerichs Backer, He married Ruby Thompson June 17, 1967, in Independence. He was employed by Viking Manufacturing until November 1975, when he moved to Kirkville.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Henry of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Janet of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Harold of Clarksville; and sister, Mrs Beulah Sherburn of Clarksville
