George Buss, Sr. died at his home in this city at twenty minutes to two o'clock, on Wednesday afternoon, June 2, aged 92 years, 8 months, and 25 days.
The decedent was born in Pluckley county of Kent, England. He came to Syracuse, N. Y., when 18 years of age, and to Wisconsin from Buffalo in 1849. One July 27, 1852 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Marr. They settled on a farm in the town of Kendall, where the family resided up to 1892. Mr. and Mrs. Buss moved to Mineral Point in the fall of 1892. Mr. Buss was an upright citizen, and a kind and obliging neighbor. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, two daughters and four sons, namely: Mrs. Theodore Engels, and Mrs. Annie Ryan, and George, Andrew, Joseph and Edward Buss, besides one brother, Daniel Buss, Sr. of Darlington.
