Tanya A. Scandle-Broscius
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Tanya A. Scandle-Broscius, 58, of 1930 Duvall Place, Daytona Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully Sunday, April 27, 2014, at her residence.
Born in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, June 30, 1955, she was a daughter of Marie Y. (Pasierb) Scandle, of Shamokin, and the late Richard N. Scandle.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Tanya was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Class of 1973. She remained active with her high school classmates and their reunions.
After retiring from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (taking great pleasure in the fact she only left 0.03 hours of sick time), "T" moved from Harrisburg to Daytona Beach to pursue her love of the ocean and the beach.
Tanya was extremely proud of her Polish and Italian heritage. She always remained steadfast as a fan of her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to Marie, her loving mother, Tanya is survived by two sisters, Nikki Magaskie and her husband, Dan, of Ambler, and Michele Banting and her husband, Mark Narkiewicz, of Elysburg; a brother, Bo Scandle and his wife, Laura, of Coal Township; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Banting, of Harrisburg, Ryan Magaskie and Kelsey Magaskie, both of Ambler, Lucas Banting, of Elysburg, and Cameron Scandle, of Coal Township; her "Little Angel," Tess, of Coal Township; aunts, uncles, cousins and several friends.
Interment of her cremains with her father in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap, will be held at a later date.
