Mrs. Ruby Althy Bailey, 55, 1110 S. Courtland Ave., died at 11 p.m. Friday in the home of her sister, Mrs. Genelda Victory of Windfall. She had been in ill health, but death was unexpected.
She was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Biggers, Ark., the daughter of John and Peggy (Gamble) Taylor. In 1930, she was united in marriage to Arlin Bailey, who survives. She lived in Kokomo since 1952.
Also surviving are two daughters, one son, five sisters, Mrs. Victory, Mrs Mable Rawson and Mrs. Marie Robertson, both of Lilbourn, Mo., Mrs. Edith Beard, Dexter, Mo., and Mrs. Wanda Hosey, Memphis Tenn., two brothers, Yewel Taylor, Oran, Mo, and Chap Taylor, Amboy; one half-brother, Hugh Taylor, Sikeston, Mo., and 12 grandchildren. One son, one sister, one brother, one half -brother and one half-sister preceded her in death.
