Mrs. Godwin was a long time resident of Clovis who loved to bake. She loved people and welcomed everyone to her home with open arms. She wanted to make everyone happy.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Gentry and her husband, Darrell of Yukon, Okla.; four grandchildren, Hillary Godwin, Cody Gentry, Taylor Gentry and Robin Gentry; a sister, Mary Dee Dean, of Portales; and a brother, Melvin Willis Gilreath Jr., of Hendersonville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Godwin in 1989; and a sister, Betty Ann Ronan.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
