Agnes was born April 15, 1912 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Rose (Rishavy) Truhlar. Here she was raised and attended school. Following school, Agnes worked cleaning homes and also at Pillsbury Baptist College. She was united in marriage to LaVern Behsman on September 12, 1936 in Trinity Lutheran Church. They made their home in Owatonna and then moved to California where LaVern worked in a shipyard during WWII. They moved to the Twin Cities area and then in 1961 they purchased a resort on the Gunflint Trail in Northern Minnesota. In 1971, they moved to Florida. LaVern died in December 1984. Agnes continued making her home in Florida before returning to Owatonna in 1990.
Agnes was a lifetime member of the Eagles Auxiliary and past president. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making slippers for many family members, playing cards, cooking and baking.
She is survived by four daughters, Lorraine Beese and Janet Paulson, both of Owatonna; Doris (and Fred) Hauser of Franklin, KY; Vicki Behsman of Rochester; a brother, Robert "Smokey" (and Lee) Truhlar of Bloomington; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and two brothers and two sons-in-law.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, November 28 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. No services are scheduled. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
