William Clarence Brown Jr., 43, a member of the Coos Bay Police, died suddenly after apparently suffering a heart attack. Mr. Brown was a motorcycle police officer for the city of Coos Bay, joining the force in September, 1956. He was interested in the youth of the coummunity and had worked with the Boy Scouts. He was a veteran of World War II.
William was the son of William Clarence Brown Sr. and Teresa Sams. William married Phyllis Floyd in the 50's.
