Ella was born to Lott and Clara Register who for the nost part lived at times in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Her father Lott Croom Register was a Baptist Minister and farmer. Ella was married for a period of time in the early 1930's to Charles Simeon Akers of Coffeyville, Kansas,a memory she would prefer to forget. In the Late 1930's she moved to Kansas City, Missouri and lived with her brother Judson Register. Sometime in the early 1940's, Ella and her brother Judson moved to Portland, Oregon where some of her brothers lived. She then moved to Chico, California near her sister Clara where she resided at 1137 N, Cedar until her death. Ella, though married once, died without issue.

The photo shows Ella W. Akers (top left) with her sisters, clockwise, Viola (Dowell), Annie (Carroll) and Clara (German).

Ella also had four brothers, Judson, Horace, Roscoe, and Harold.

Most of us knew her as Aunt Winnie. She lies close to her nephew's Lloyd and Pete German, with no grave marker to mark her grave.
