Ruth Bowman Jordan, 87, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn. passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones Friday, February 26, 2010.
Ruth was of the Baptist Faith and was the oldest member of Melville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Jordan, her parents and all of her siblings.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Alma (Ed) Henderson, Brenda (Jerry) Wilcox; grandchildren, Lloyd Henderson, Dana Sharp, Jo Ann Brown, Lamar Bowman, Paul Kilgore; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Evans officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Bowman, Paul Kilgore, Phillip Wooten, Ricky Boyd, Lee Thornhill and Bill Smith.
