Howard W. Waits

Services were to be at 4 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel for Howard W. Waits, 42, of 3313 Lenwood.

The Rev. Howard Lyons, pastor of Tascosa Baptist Church, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Westlawn Cemetery at Borger.

Mr. Waits was found dead of a gunshot wound Wednesday at his home. The wound was ruled self-inflicted.

Survivors include his wife, a son, a daughter, a sister and his parents.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors for Howard W. Waits, 42, of 3313 Lenwood.

Mr. Waits was found dead of a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon at his home. Randall County Justice of the Peace W. W. Hancock ruled the wound was self-inflicted. A pistol was found near the body.

Mr. Waits was born at Eden, Tex., and moved to Amarillo in September 1968 from Fritch. He was an insurance salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy; a son, Michael Roy, and a daughter, Vickie, all of 900 Avondale; a sister, Mrs. Alma Kaye Taylor of Phillip; his mother, Mrs. Jewel Rogers of Fritch; and his father, Arnold Waits of Oklahoma.
