LYONS - Cecelia "Carole" Miller, 79, died April 13, 2013, at her residence in Lyons. She was born May 13, 1933, in Newkirk, Okla., the daughter of Hobart and Evelyn Bellmard Allen.
A Lyons resident since 1964, she was a homemaker and a 1951 graduate of Arkansas City High School. Her memberships included: First Christian Church, Church Love Group, Eastern Star and Past Matron and former member of Women's Bowling League, all of Lyons.
On March 5, 1951, she married Robert G. Miller in Perry, Okla. Survivors include: her husband, Robert of the home; son, Stuart Miller of Lyons; daughter, Stephanie Jo and Dennis Steadman of Kennewick, Wash.; two brothers, Douglas Allen of Topeka and Robert Allen of Newkirk, Okla.; sister, Lana Sue Perryman of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Bill D. Miller.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at First Christian Church, Lyons, with Reverend Ron DeVore officiating. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials to American Heart Association or Masonic Cancer Research Fund, in care of the funeral home.
