Irene Virginia Paris Wilcher, 73, Finley, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at her residence.

Born July 10, 1936, in Marion County, Wilcher was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James Walter and Hallie Lou Smothers Paris; a daughter, Carolyn Virginia Wilcher; a grandson, David Leon Wilcher Jr.; a stepson, Michael David Moore; three brothers, James Robert, Walter Blufort and Samuel Cliffert Paris; three sisters, Mae Paris Graham, Margaret Paris Smothers and Lillian Paris.

Survivors include: her husband, Carl Edward Wilcher Sr. of Finley; two sons, David Wilcher of Lawrenceburg and Carl Wilcher Jr. of Dover, Tenn.; and two daughters, Donna Ann Wilcher of Finley and Deborah Bast of Campbellsville; a brother, Frank Putman Paris of South Haven, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Oct. 13 at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville. Rev. Vic Stansbury officiated.

Active pallbearers were John, Josh and Jonathan Wilcher, Clay Lemay and Mathew and Cody Bast.

Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
