OBITUARY: Clinton Eye, 16 March 1889.
Mrs Frances Carter died Tuesday night at 10:35,of pneumonia and heart disease. She was the wife of W.F.Carter of Salmon's Bank. Father, mother, relatives and friends ministered to her wants in her last illness, but death had marked one of Clinton's brightest and the fairest when in the shine of the Masters Kingdom. Mrs. Cater was only 39 last January and was the only daughter of Mrs. Stephen Vickers, residing near Montrose. She was a member of the C.P.Chuch. Will Carter, Jr. who is attending the State University at Columbia, was summoned home the first of the week by his mothers illness.
