HALBERT R BATES--94: formerly Greenvl PA-now Canfield, died Monday[5-31] at his home. Mr Bates was born 12 Mar 1899 in Kinsman, a son of WmR & Verna VanBuren Bates & had lived in Greenville. He retired in Jul 1964 as a conductor from the Erie Lackawanna RR where he had worked for 41yrs. He later worked for the former Dart Auto Dealership-Greenvl. His wife, the fomer Mae George, whom he married 15 Mar 1930, died 4 Nov 1975.
He leaves a dau: Mildred Baker, with whom he made his home in Canfield; a stepson: Edward George-Greenvl & 2 grandchildren. Four broth-ers are deceased.
There will be no service or calling hours. Arrangements by Andrew Osborne Funrl Home. {Interment in Shenango Valley Cem}
