Funeral services for George Byron Daniell, 73 years of age, a member of the Sacred Harp Singers and a violin maker and composer, who died Sunday at his residence at 499 Third street, NW, will be held at 11 o'clock this morning at Spring Hill. The Rev W A Cooper will officiate and interment will be in Hollywood cemetery.
Mr Daniell was a native of Cobb county. He took part in the organization of the Sacred Harp Singers in 1904, and in 1911 he helped revise the organization's song book. He was the composer of several songs which appeared in the volume. Mr Daniell, a violin maker and musician, had resided in Atlanta about five years.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs Milllie Daniell; four daughters, Mrs W H Taylor, of Kansas City, Mo; Mrs Fred Drake, Mrs Roscoe Carden, and Mrs George Tatum, of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs Mattie Sambrough, of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Contributed by Debbie Z.
