Earl E. Cherry, age 84, of Havana, AR died Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born March 13, 1914 in Boswell, OK to the late James F. "Jim" and Sadie Brashier Cherry. He was a carpenter and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Havana.
Survivors are his wife, Imogene Cherry; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kay Cherry of Russellville, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Kermit Brannon of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Frank Cherry of Havana, AR and Bob Cherry of Ft. Smith, AR; four sisters, Ada Farris of Ft. Smith, AR, Lucille Jean of Yuba City, CA, Drucilla Anderson of Sacramento, CA and Mildred Newton of Lake Village, AR; grandson and wife, Jimmy Jr. and Dana Cherry of Atkins, AR; two great grandchildren, Brent and Emmy of Atkins, AR.
Service was April 18, 1998 at the First Assembly of God Church at Havana, AR with the Rev. E. O. Tackett officiating. Interment was in the Havana Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary were Havana Volunteer Fire Department.
