Pekin, IL – Lucille J. Adcock, 106, 1520 El Camino Dr. died 4:32 pm Sunday, August 13 at Pekin Manor.

Lucille was born June 27, 1900 in Pekin to Roney and Emma Wombacher Bruder. She married William F. Adcock on July 2, 1921 in Peoria. He died in 1950.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Maas, Beverly Bowman and Patricia Lohmann (and Walter E. Sr.) all of Pekin; Twenty-three grandchildren; Forty-five great grandchildren; Forty-eight great great grandchildren.

Preceding in death are two daughters, Rose Oltman and Dorothy Melloy; two sons William and Richard Adcock; one brother; three sisters.

Lucille was the owner of the Maid Rite restaurant during the 1950's. She attended the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Celestial City Chapter #333 of the Eastern Star.

She was one of the survivors of the Columbia excursion boat, which sank July 5, 1918, in the Illinois River as it was returning after midnight from a July 4 excursion to Peoria.

Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Henderson Funeral Home. Rev. Susan Curtis and Rev. Ralph Cordes will officiate. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
