Major James E. Arnold (USAF, Ret.), age 50, went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2007. James was born on October 11, 1956 at Havre De Grace, Maryland, the son of the late James H. and Georgia E. Owens Arnold. James is survived by his wife of 21 years, Julie; sons, James and Joseph; sister, Linda; brother-in-law, Bill, and nieces, Kathy and Amanda. James was a 1978 graduate of the Air Force Academy and a 1985 graduate of George Washington Law Center. James served as a JAG officer, serving in Illinois, California, Germany and Washington, D.C., where he retired in 1996. James was a military history buff, a great storyteller, an avid reader and enjoyed playing games with his family. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel, US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Air Force Academy Cemetery. A memorial celebration of James' life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Front Range Alliance Church, 4151 Centennial Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
