The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, at Boone Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridge View Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brown was born in Rockingham County on February 24, 1932, a son of William Clyde and Frances Cox Brown, both deceased. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired shop foreman for the Karastan Rug Mill with 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Smith Brown of the home; his daughters, Bambi B. Joyce and husband, Barry of Stoneville, and Brenda G. Brown of Hendersonville, N.C.; his son, Bobby C. Brown, Jr. and wife, Lucy of Cordova, Alaska; his sister, Shirley Hankins of Stoneville; his grandchildren, Brittany, Steven, William, Christopher, Manda, Ronnie and Melissa; and his great grandchildren, Josh, Steven and Paige.
