PARIS, TN. --- Laudell Beasley, 65, Paris, Tennessee, died Dec. 20, 1999, at a Paris, Tennessee, hospital where he had been a patient about a week. He had cancer.

He was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Gleason, Tennessee.

He married Sally Strait, formerly of Topeka, KS, on Sept. 20, 1986, in Paris, Tennessee. She survives.

He had served in the Air Force.

He spent most of his life in western Tennessee. He was a chief engineer for Ingram Barge Lines on the Mississippi River for many years before he retired.

He was a member of Bird's Creek Baptist Church near Paris, TN, Gleason Lodge No. 330, AF&AM, and the Western Tennessee Cutting Horse Association.

Other survivors include a daughter, Michelle Annette Heath, McKenzie, TN; a twin brother, Lyndell Beasley, Gleason, TN; two sisters, Betty Bright, Martin, TN, and Jessie Mayfield, Jackson, MS; and a granddaughter.

Services were Dec. 23, 1999 at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris, Tennessee. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason, Tennessee.
