Eldo Vilace Gough was born Friday, September 16, 1927 in Murray, Utah to Samuel Gough and Thalia Iverson.

He married Gloria Curtis on April 26, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Eldo served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's organization.

Eldo was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding several positions. He served two stake missions. At the time of his death, he was ward clerk of the Waterloo Ward.

Eldo passed away on Thursday, August 24, 1989. He resided at 1531 South Park Street (550 East) in the Central City neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death.

Eldo was survived by his wife, Gloria Curtis Gough of Salt Lake City; one son and three daughters, Jeffrey Earl Gough and his wife, Laura, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Karen Diane Gough, Debra Ann Eatchel and her husband, Calvin, and Linda Jean Krough and her husband, Christopher, all of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; sister, Rhea Terry of Lindsay, California; and brothers, Boyd Gough of Murray, Utah; June Laycock, of Kearns, Utah; and Alma John Gough, of Farmington, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 28, 1989 at 11:00 a.m. in the Waterloo Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1623 South 500 East in Salt Lake City. A viewing was held on Sunday, August 27, 1989 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary located at 5850 South 900 East in Murray, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Eldo was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery in Taylorsville.
