Earle was born in Norfolk, Virginia. His family had moved there from Isle of Wight in 1911. Earle was retired from Texaco, Inc. after 45 years. In 1941 he became the clerk of the Norfolk Gospel Tabernacle. Four years later he was instrumental in their merger with the Church of God. In 1945 he became the clerk of the church of God at 28th Street and Omohundro Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia. He held this position of honor for 14 years. In 1958 after conducting missionwork for several months, he lead the group into organizing Ballentine Church of God at Norfolk, Virginia. He was the minister there for almst 20 years. Before he became a Minister Earle opened his home for Cottage Prayer Meetings. He was also a member of the Tidewater Pentecostal Ministerial Fellowship. Earl was 64 years old when he died in a Norfolk hospital. His Funeral was held at the Church of God Ballentine Place the church he helped to build. It was standing room only. He was truly a beloved man.
