Mike married Betty Jane Vincent, September 23, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas.

Mike was a captain on the Mississippi River boats for many, many years and had owned and operated Newport Towing out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri for several years.

Funeral Monday December 13, 2010, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Missouri.

Buriel in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Missouri.
