Donald Bennett, Oregon, Dies in Boating Accident.

Oregon--Donald Hanan Bennett, 36, Cody, Wyo., son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bennett, Rt. 1, McFarland, drowned Saturday in a boating accident at Coeur D'Alene, Idaho
Mr. Bennett, a designer for the Rusky Oil Co, was attending a meeting of oil company officials when the accident happened. He was reported to be an expert swimmer.
He was born in Spokane, Wash., and came to Madison with his family as a boy. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a degree in mechanical engineering.
During W.W. II he served in India as a second lieutenant in the Air Corps. In Madison he was active in Boy Scout work, and was a member of the First Congregational Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean, and a son, Laurence, National City, Calif.; two brothers, Herbert L., Easton, Pa.; and Howard D., Willoughby, O.; and a sister, Mrs. John Monroe, Lake Bluff, Ill.
The body is being brought to the Booth-Soman funeral home here.
